Talha bin Ubaidullah (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) is one of the first eight people who accepted Islam in Makka on the hands of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم). He is one of the five people who became Muslims through Hadhrat Abu Bakr (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ). He also has the distinction to be one of the ten Sahabah who were promised Paradise during their lifetimes. The Ahadith in this context are available in Tirmidhi and Abu Dawood. The heroic role he played in the battle of Uhad in safeguarding the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) is the hallmark of his bravery.
