Asma bint Abu Bakr Siddiq (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہا) was born in pre-Islamic time in Makka in 600 CE. Her mother was Qutailah bint Abdul Uzza, first wife of Abu Bakr (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ), who belonged to Amir bin Luayy clan of the Quraish. Her marriage to Abu Bakr (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) took place in pre-Islamic Arabia and two children were born to them, Asma (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہا) and Abdullah (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ). After the birth of Abdullah (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ), Qutailah separated from Abu Bakr (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ). It is around this time the Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) declared his prophethood in 609 CE and Abu Bakr (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) became Muslim. Since she lived separated from Abu Bakr (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ), she remained a polytheist. Asma (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہا) was the half-sister of Ummul Momineen Aisha bint Abu Bakr (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہا), born to the second wife of Abu Bakr (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) whose name was Zaynab bint Amir Ibn Uwaymir (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہا), popularly known as Umm Ruman. Asma (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہا) was 14 years older than Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہا). This book provides brief biography of Asma bint Abu Bakr (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہا).
