Khwaja Qutubuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ)

Khwaja Qutubuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki (1173- 1235 C.E) (رحمتہ اللہ علیه) was born in the ancient city of Osh in the Fergana Valley, Kyrgyzstan. He was the son of Sayyid Kamaluddin Musa al-Husayni, whom he lost at a young age. He took baya on the hands of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishtee (رحمتہ اللہ علیه) and received khilafat and khirqa (Sufi cloak) when Khawaja Moinuddin Chishtee passed through Osh during his journey to Isfahan. Later, Qutubuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) was instructed by his Shaikh to go to India and stay there. Thus, he came to Delhi during the reign of Shamsuddin Iltutmish (1211–1236 CE) of Delhi Sultanate.
