Rahat Al Qulub| Comfort of Hearts Volume II

Khwaja Fareeduddin Ganj-e-Shakr (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ)

The book ‘Comfort of Hearts (راحة القلوب)’ contains utterances (ملفوظات) of Khwaja Fareeduddin Ganje Shakr (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) which were written and compiled in Persian by Khwaja Nizamuddin (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) who was the Khalifa of Khwaja Fareeduddin Ganje Shakar (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ). Malfuzaat (ملفوظات) provide a glimpse of the society in which the Shuyookh lived. These show their love of Allah, concern for people, inner yearnings, and religious advises which were required for the peoples’ exoteric and esoteric reformation during their lifetimes. Khwaja Nizamuddin (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) was born in Uttar Pradesh India, in 1238 CE. His father died when he was 5 years old. After the death of his father, he was brought to Delhi by his mother. When he was 20 years old, he went to Ajodhan (Pakpattan, Pakistan) and took baya on the hand of Khwaja Fareeduddin Gaje Shakar (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ). He lived in Delhi and visited his Shaikh every year in Ramadhan. He died in Delhi in 1325 CE where his Dargah is located.
