Incoherence of Philosophers Volume II

Shaikh Al Ghazali (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ)

The book ‘Incoherence of the Philosophers’ (تهافت الفلاسفة) is a landmark treatise refuting Avicennian school of early Islamic philosophy. Arab philosophers, Avicenna (ابن سینا) and Alpharabius (الفارابي) have been denounced in this book as they follow Greek philosophy even when it contradicts Islam. This book was a milestone in the ascendance of Asharite school of thought in Islamic philosophy and theology. The book is divided into 20 chapters in which Al-Ghazali described that Avicenna and his followers have committed 20 blunders, out of which 17 are heresy, and 3 are disbelief in Islam.
