The book ‘The State of People of Truth with Allah (حالة اهل حقيقة مع الله) was written by Shaikh Ahmad ibn Ali Ar-Rifa’i (أَحْمَد ابْن عَلِي ٱلرِّفَاعِي رَحْمَةُ اللہ عَلیَه) (512-578 AH / 1107-1182 CE), who was an Islamic Scholar, Jurist, Sufi Shaikh and founder of Rifa’i Sufi order. The book represents the teachings of the Shaikh Al-Rifai. It contains forty Ahadith of Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) that explains the states of the people of truth, their actions, and their conditions in relation to Allah. It reflects upon the profound experiences of those immersed in divine love, cognition, longing, asceticism, and other spiritual states. The translation and explanation of this book captures the essence and scholarly tone of the original Arabic text of the Shaikh while remaining committed to its content.

Shaikh Ahmad ibn Ali Ar-Rifa’i (أَحْمَد ابْن عَلِي ٱلرِّفَاعِي رَحْمَةُ اللہ عَلیَه) (512-578 AH / 1107-1182 CE), was an Islamic Scholar, Jurist, Sufi Shaikh and founder of Rifa’i Sufi order. He was born in Iraq and lived during the time of Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (470 – 561 AH / 1077 – 1166 CE) and was one of those who received Shaikh’s blessings. The followers of Rifai Sufi order are mostly found in Indian subcontinent, Turkey and Balkans.
