The Power, Fate

Al-Qadr | Sura # 97 | 5 verses | Makkan

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate and Most Merciful

إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ١

97:1 Indeed, We sent this (Quran) down on the Night of Glory (Power/Decree).

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ٢

97:2 But how would you know what is the Night of Glory?

لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ٣

97:3 The night of glory is better than one thousand months.

تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ مِنْ كُلِّ أَمْرٍ٤

97:4 In it descend the angels and Jibreel (عليه السلام), by the command of their Lord for all matters.

سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ٥

97:5 It is Peace (all the way), till the break of dawn.
