Saadi Shirazi (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ)

Shaikh Saadi Shirazi (1210 - 1291) is one of the most famous Sufi Farsi poets in Islamic history. His works have had a major influence on many famous Sufi poets. 'Bostaan' and 'Gulistan', that explore the concepts of Sufism and Tasawwuf are his most famous works. His books have also been used as textbooks for teaching Farsi poetry and medieval literature by many universities across the world.
