Over one hundred thousand Sahabah and Taba'in were killed as a result of wars between Muawiya and Khulafa-e-Rashideen (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہم). In 661, after the assassination of Hadhrat Ali (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) and abdication of Caliphate by Hadhrat Hassan (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ), Muawiya (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) declared himself as Caliph in Damascus. Some Governors of the provinces helped him in this context. We have provided a brief account of all those Governors in this book.
